Lang v. City of Schenectady, EEOC Charge No. 525-2019-00919

Claimant filed a formal EEO Complaint alleging discrimination under the Americans with Disabilities Act (“ADA”) when, after he applied twice for a promotion to the City’s Police Department’s Special Weapons and Tactics Team (hereinafter “SWAT”), he was declined the position based upon his disclosure of a (mental health) disability.  April Laws submitted a position statement and answer on behalf of the City.  Upon completion of the Commission’s investigation of Claimant’s allegations, the Commission issued a Dismissal and Notice.
