The New York State Appellate Division, Fourth Department accepted Defendants’ appeal in a conversion case and reversed the Cayuga County Supreme Court Judge’s denial of the motion for summary judgment filed by April Laws on behalf of the Defendants, rejecting Plaintiff’s contention that she had possessory rights to certain firearms, and finding that Defendants’ seizure and destruction of the firearms was authorized by Penal Law § 400.05.
