Upon receiving a dismissal notice of their claims from the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (“EEOC”), Plaintiffs pursued their case in federal court, alleging sixteen different causes of action against Warren County under the Pregnancy Discrimination Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act, among other claims. On August 7, 2020, the Court granted the County’s motion to dismiss, drafted by Gregg Johnson, and dismissed fifteen of the sixteen claims advanced in Plaintiffs’ Complaint. The single remaining claim is currently being litigated in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of New York.
