On November 15, 2019, a federal jury empaneled by the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York returned a unanimous defense verdict for the firm’s clients, a County Sheriff’s Office and Deputy. Gregg Johnson presented the case for the firm’s clients in this civil rights action in which the Plaintiff alleged that he was battered and subjected to excessive force. On the fourth day of trial, the jury returned a verdict in favor of the firm’s clients, resulting in a Judgment which put an end to three years of litigation over the deployment of physical force used to arrest a suspect who was observed choking a female victim in her home.
