Complainant submitted a Complaint with the New York State Division of Human Rights (“DHR”) against the City of Schenectady, Complainant’s employer, alleging violations of the New York State Human Rights Law (“HRL”) based on claims of racial discrimination. Our team submitted a position statement and answer on behalf of the City, and defended the City during the DHR’s investigation. Upon completion of the DHR’s investigation, the DHR issued a “No Probable Cause” determination on August 7, 2020 and dismissed the Complaint against the City in its entirety.
