Maroney v. Village of Norwood, et al.

Plaintiff filed a civil rights Complaint with the United States District Court, Northern District of New York, alleging that the Village of Norwood and the Norwood Village Police Department violated her Fourteenth Amendment right to be free from unlawful sexual harassment, abuse, and assault while in police custody, municipal liability and pendant state law claims of sexual battery, false imprisonment, and intentional infliction of emotional distress.  April J. Laws filed a FRCP Rule 12(b) motion to dismiss the Complaint which the Court granted in its entirety.  Plaintiff has filed a Notice of Appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
