Gregg Johnson and April Laws successfully moved for complete summary judgment on behalf of the Village its Chief of Police in a complex civil rights case alleging, among other things, malicious prosecution and equal protection claims. Plaintiff’s allegations were the subject of national media attention, including a two-part documentary featured on a premier cable network. All claims were dismissed prior to trial. Gregg Johnson also successfully defended the Village on appeal before the Second Circuit which affirmed the pre-trial dismissal of all claims.
