Gregg Johnson defended the Village of Potsdam and multiple members of the Village’s Police Department through a five-day jury trial in the Northern District of New York resulting in a unanimous defense verdict. Plaintiff alleged false imprisonment and unlawful seizure of his cell phone pertaining to the Potsdam Police Department’s investigation into the homicide of a 12-year-old boy, Garrett Phillips. The trial resulted in unanimous jury verdict in favor of Defendant.
